Ski at the foot of the great glacial cirques
Birthplace of Pyrenean mountaineering and heir to a long mountain tradition , the ski resort of Gavarnie-Gèdre offers magnificent mountain scenery, the enjoyment of which is possible for everyone through a perfectly secure ski area. This mythical place offers 29 psites for all levels, including the longest green run in the Pyrenees. Beginners and children will adore the wide expanse at the foot of the slopes where there is also a snow playground.
The ski resort of Gavarnie, is composed of two parts. An area on the snow front, specially adapted for children and beginners, where learning to ski is a fun experience surrounded by natural beauty.
The rest of the resort is located at altitude with many viewpoints and picnic areas including the famous Brèche de Roland. There are wide pistes for all levels and the longest green run in the Pyrenees, which leads you down to the station after 5 km of descent.
