Cascade de Gavarnie

Located 1375 metres above sea level,  Gavarnie  boasts of its status as the authentic cradle of the Pyrenean moutaineering style. It is a mountain paradise, home of the most famous Pyrenean guides.

From the village you can admire the magic of the Cirque de Gavarnie (peaking at over 3000 metres) and the highest waterfall in Europe (427 metres).

The shops, inns, restaurants and bars in the village are also there to welcome you and make your stay unforgettable.

Located 1000 metres above sea level, at the confluence of the Gavarnie and Héas rivers, Gèdre is a typical rural town in the mountains where the residents are waiting to share the pastoral pace of everyday life with you.

Enjoy a
mountain visual symphony -  the cirques of Estaubé and Troumouse, Bue Valley and its lakes, or the Saugué plateau, with its incomparable view point over Gavarnie are a feast for the eyes!

In the valley of Héas, filled with stories and legends about its virginal apparition and its chapel, yiou can also see the Gloriettes dam and, downstream towards Luz Pragnères, the hydroelectric plant, one of the largest in Europe.
